A spectacular concert of music and opera will be held in the perfect summer-backdrop of Gregynog Hall’s famous Grade-I listed gardens this weekend.
Fighting back from significant funding cuts last year, Mid Wales Opera (MWO) launches its 2022/23 season with the popular Annual Gregynog Garden Concert on Sunday (July 21), at 5pm and continues into the early evening, allowing time to enjoy the grounds alongside a picnic interval.
This is a perfect introduction to opera for anyone who may not have experience it before, and all ages are welcome.

Music Director and pianist Charlotte Forrest will lead the evening. Her passion for music and talent in musical direction is always an absolute crowd pleaser.
Building on its passion for bringing emerging young talent into the opera spotlight, Welsh soprano Elen Lloyd Roberts and baritone Steffan Lloyd Owen will be joining MWO for the evening. Tenor Robyn Lyn Evans is a familiar face with MWO and completes the Gregynog line up this year.
Tickets are £19 adults, £5 children. Booking is via the Theatr Hafren Box Office on 01686 948100 or through the Hafren website.
“Remember, your presence at this gala not only promises a sensory spectacle but also supports Mid Wales Opera in their cause,” a spokesperson said.
