THE next stage of resurfacing works on a seven-mile stretch of the A483 in Powys begin tomorrow (Monday, July 15).
Traffic Wales is currently undertaking work on the carriageway between Dolfor and Llanbadarn Fynydd - with a closure set to be in place in both directions next week.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week - narrow sections of carriageway will require a full carriageway and a signed diversion route will be in place for all traffic to ensure a safe working area for operatives between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
The lengthy diversion will be via the A489 and A470 through Llanidloes and Llanguring - before finally rejoining the A483 at Crossgates.
On July 18, single lane work involving traffic management, lane closure and convoy working with a 10mph speed limit in place throughout the works between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
Emergency Service vehicles, buses and local resident access will be maintained at all times. All other traffic in the area is to utilise the appropriate diversion route.
