A POWYS man convicted of breaching a non-molestation order in relation to a woman after he was found guilty at trial is due to be sentenced at the end of the month.
Timothy Cooke, 59, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 9, where he had been due to be sentenced for breaching the order.
Cooke, of Ty Ceirios, Cwrt Cei Coed, Newtown, was said to have breached the order by speaking to the victim on April 9 in Caersws.
Cooke had denied the offence but was convicted at a trial on June 17. However, he could not be sentenced this week as the court heard a pre-sentence report was not ready.
He will return to court on July 30. His conditional bail – not to attend any address where the victim resides or works – continues until that date.
