A POWYS motorist is likely to appear in court in the near future after he was arrested and charged with drug driving.
The driver was arrested when police were called out to the Rhayader area on Sunday, June 30, following reports of illegal off-roading.
The driver was allegedly under the influence of cannabis.

A passenger in the vehicle also had drugs seized by officers.
Dyfed Powys Police’s Roads Policing Unit said: “As a result of call regarding off-roading in the Rhayader area a vehicle was stopped and persons within spoken to.
“(The) driver provided positive (a) drug swipe – indicating cannabis.
"Drugs seized from a passenger in the vehicle.”
