A POPULAR Powys pub is expanding after announcing it has purchased an additional town centre property in order to extend its dining options.
The White Horse in Builth Wells announced on Monday (July 8) that it has bought the adjacent building to the right of the High Street pub.
Rory Owen, the White Horse landlord, says the building, the long-time previous home of Roy Browns Coaches, has been bought to cope with additional demand.
The new space will be used as extra space to accommodate diners and drinkers – and with Royal Welsh Show week approaching, the race is now on to get it ready for showgoers.
“In regards to next door we’re looking to expand to get more seating in for people wanting food and drinks,” said Rory.
“We’re expanding so we can get more customers in for dining and drinking.”
In a Facebook post announcing the news, the pub said the aim of the new project was to make the White Horse a “bigger and better place”.
