An armed chase involving multiple police officers and a helicopter in Llanymynech ended with three people being arrested on suspicion of drugs charges.
Dyfed Powys Police officers were involved in an armed chase on Thursday, July 4, after a vehicle failed to stop in the Llanymynech area.
Several police officers were involved in the chase that followed, including armed response officers, with assistance from a National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter.
“Dyfed-Powys Police officers were deployed after a vehicle failed to stop in the Llanymynech area at around 8pm on Thursday, July 4," a spokesman for the force said.

“Roads policing officers, a dog handler and armed response officers were involved, with NPAS also assisting.”
The incident ended with three people being arrested, on suspicion of drugs-related offences, with one being investigated for dangerous driving following the failure to stop for police. They have all since been released either on conditional bail or under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.
Dyfed Powys Police added: “One man, aged 31, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of class A drugs, dangerous driving and failing to stop. He has been released on conditional bail.
“One man, aged 19, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. He has been released under investigation whilst enquiries are ongoing.
“One woman, aged 19, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been released under investigation whilst enquiries are ongoing.”
