Emergency repairs have been made to Bishop’s Castle’s new pump track following “unauthorised attempts” to install one of the skate park ramps onto the pump track.
Bishop’s Castle Town Councils said soil had been removed from one bank which reduced the stability of the ground where the track has been laid, adding that further subsidence of the earth could lead to the collapse of the track.
Two more tons of earth was reported to be placed around the area to be reseeded and a small fence would be installed to restrict any further damage.

A spokesperson for Bishop’s Castle Town Council said: “The town is extremely grateful to the contractors on this site for graciously agreeing to this repair free of charge. However, any further works will incur further charges being levied.
“A considerable expense from the town council and local fundraising has provided this facility and we ask that all users respect it and do not cause any more damage.”
