I believe the new bridge over the Severn in Newtown should be be given a name to celebrate the town’s rich textile heritage.
The bridge is actually sited adjacent to the former weaver’s cottages along canal road.
I therefore suggest that the bridge should be named The Weavers’ Bridge.
