A CLUB described as vital for youngsters in a Powys town says it is “desperate” for volunteers to come forward so it can continue.
Rhayader Youth Group says it has big plans for the youth club but will be unable to achieve its ambitions without additional people to help run it.
The club currently runs every fortnight on Wednesday evenings, with their next meeting tonight (Wednesday, July 3) – but sessions are at risk of being cancelled because of a lack of volunteers.
“We desperately need more volunteers, we are at risk of having to cancel sessions as we can't run it if we don't have enough volunteers,” said Sarah Rowe in a post on the Rhayader Solutions Facebook page on Tuesday.

“This club is vital for the Rhayader youth, it gives them a space to be themselves, make new friends or learn something new.
“We have big plans for the youth club but can't achieve this without volunteers behind it.
“We currently run once a fortnight on a Wednesday at Art Metal 6-8pm. Volunteers must be 18+. “Anyone interested in helping, or getting involved, any contribution is helpful whether you can help every session or just one here and there.
“Either drop me a message on Facebook or text/WhatsApp me on 07722 013152.
“Our next session is Wednesday, we need volunteers for this session or risk having to cancel it.”
