A 58-year-old Powys man has pleaded not guilty to a series of offences relating to indecently assaulting a child and unlawful sexual intercourse with a child.
Mark Morgan, of Mill Farm, Heyope, near Knighton, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 3, where he denied a total of eight charges against him.
The historic offences are alleged to have taken place between 1976 and 1985.
Morgan is charged with two counts of indecent assault on a child between 1976 and 1978.

Morgan also faces five counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a child on separate occasions, spanning 1980 and 1985, and one charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a child under 16, between 1979 and 1981.
Prosecutor James Sprunks said the maximum sentence if found guilty could be life. Both he and Brendon Reedy, representing Morgan, said the case should be sent to the crown court
Mr Reedy said his client denies all offences.
Magistrates sent the case to Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court. Morgan is due to make an initial appearance there on July 31.
