A MAN was taken to hospital for medical attention following an incident that shut a bypass near a Powys town at the weekend.
Dyfed Powys Police reported shortly after 1pm on Sunday, June 30, that the A40 at the Brecon bypass was closed.
The force confirmed that the incident was related to a welfare call.
“Dyfed-Powys Police received a call for a concern for the welfare of an individual at about 1pm on Sunday, June 30, on the A470 Brecon bypass,” the force said in a statement.

“One man was taken to hospital for medical attention.
"The road was closed to maintain public safety before being reopened at around 2.15pm.”
Traffic Wales reported that the road was closed in both directions, and asked motorists to find an alternative route if travelling in the area.
