AN “emergency incident” has closed the A40 in Powys, police have said.
Dyfed Powys Police reported shortly after 1pm on Sunday, June 30, that the A40 at the Brecon bypass was closed.
“The road is currently closed due to an emergency incident,” Dyfed Powys Police posted on their social media channels.
“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey.”
Traffic Wales reported that the road was closed in both directions, and asked motorists to find an alternative route if travelling in the area.
The force tweeted again at 2.32pm to say the road had reopened.
