Tesco in Newtown has applied to have unrestricted deliveries at its store in the town.
The supermarket giant has applied to Powys County Council to remove the current conditions they have on deliveries, which is currently limited between the hours of 5am and 11pm.
In a planning application to Powys County Council, the company said: “Since the granting of consent, Tesco have managed to increase their sales due to having greater flexibility in receiving deliveries.

“To allow further flexibility and the ability to restock shelves during the night when the store is quiet.
"This application seeks to vary condition 8 of planning permission 23/0400/REM to permanently allow unrestricted deliveries.
“This includes deliveries between the hours of 23:00 and 05:00.”
