Traffic management measures and single lane closures will be in place along a Powys road for several weeks this summer.

Drivers can expect some delays when travelling along a Mid Wales road in July, as  works involving traffic management, lane closure and convoy working and a reduced speed limit will be in place for a number of weeks.

A stretch of the A489, from Abergwydol Junction to Cemmaes Road, and part of the A470 from Cemmaes Road to Cemmaes will be affected by the measures.

OTHER NEWS:

The works will start on July 1 and end on July 19, with work taking place between the hours of 8am to 8pm.

Single lane works involving traffic management, lane closure and convoy working, 10mph speed limit will be enforced throughout the works.

The works on the A489 will start on July 1, with the works on the A470, East of Commins Coch, starting a few days later on July 5.

Traffic Wales have confirmed that no diversion is required to accommodate the works, but drivers can expect some delays from the measures put in place along both stretches of road as a result.
