A rare opportunity has arisen to buy a luxury Powys treehouse let.
Oaklands Glamping and Treehouse near Welshpool is up for sale as an investment opportunity “the likes of which are rarely available to purchase”.
Carter Jonas is handling the sale of Oaklands Glamping and Treehouse business.
Associate Charlene Sussums-Lewis said: “The bespoke and exquisitely finished one-bed treehouse was built in 2018 and has breath-taking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, complete with a wood fired hot tub on the deck outside.”
Two luxury safari tents offer a similar experience with open-plan living, double bedroom, roll top bath and a wide deck offering stunning views to enjoy a morning coffee or sundowner on.
Oaklands is for sale at a guide price of £695,000 which Charlene says is excellent value for a buyer wanting a ready-made leisure business like no other in the area.
“This is high-end accommodation in a beautiful part of the world, set in 2.3 acres,” she added. “All the hard work has been done. Everything is already set up and ready to go for a new owner to take on the business and enjoy the experience of owning a one-of-a-kind holiday lettings enterprise.”

The treehouse is up for sale at the same time as the award winning Dittisham Hideaway in Devon.
Luxury treehouse sales are considered scarce due to their profitability – owners can charge premium rates for a unique experience.
Stephen Richards, Head of Rural Leisure at national property consultancy Carter Jonas, says it is “almost unheard of” for two treehouse enterprises to be on the market at the same time.
“It’s pure coincidence that the two businesses are being sold now – each for a different reason – but it presents a wonderful, possibly unprecedented opportunity for a purchaser to have choice in this sort of market,” he said.
