A Powys music festival has been cancelled days before it was due to take place.
Welsh language festival Gwyl Maldwyn was planned to be held at The King's Head pub in Meifod on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22.
Popular Welsh acts Mynadd, Bwncath, Gwilym Bowen Rhys, Ben Twtill and Tara Bendito were all billed to perform this weekend.
However, organisers have now said that the festival has been postponed until 2025 with a new date and location announced “soon”.
Emyr Wyn, festival chairman, said the “difficult” decision was made last week.

“Many people had been worried after the huge success of Urdd 2024 in Mathrafal and all the fundraising activities, that they would not be confident about coming to Gwyl Maldwyn and ordering a ticket in advance," he said.
“We also sympathise with the owners of the King's Head for their family’s loss a few months ago and wish them well in reorganising the business and looking for a new tenant.”
Mr Wyn added: “May I thank everyone who has been supporting Gwyl Maldwyn over the past 20 years and we look forward to giving you a varied festival next year.”
