A "one-of-a-kind" programme that empowers adults with additional learning needs has launched in Llanidloes.
The Rainforest Café Project gives apprentices the opportunity to learn how to cook food and gain valuable business skills.
They then transform into café owners, serving customers in a unique rainforest-themed environment, all with the support of our experienced team at The Hanging Gardens.
Funding from PAVO, UK Government, Ceredigion County Council, Powys County Council, and Growing Mid Wales has helped The Wilderness Trust launch the programme.
"Join us for a delightful treat and lend your support to these amazing individuals as they build confidence and independence," a spokesperson for The Hanging Gardens said.
"Your support truly means the world to them."
The Rainforest Café Project is seeking apprentices aged 18 to 40 with additional learning needs to join the team.
The cooking skills are learnt every Monday, and the café opens on Tuesdays at The Hanging Gardens Café in Bethel Street, Llanidloes from 10am to 4pm.
