Organisers of Machynlleth Carnival have a number of fundraising events for the 2024 event lined up, including the return of the popular colour run.

Lined up for Sunday, June 23, the event follows on from last year’s popular first colour run, which saw runners take on a 5k course while being covered with coloured powder.

The year’s route will take the participants around the three playing fields, around the park and in front of Y Plas and the Leisure Centre.

Spectators are also invited to come down to the event, as they’ll be responsible for making sure runners are covered in colours as they make their way around the 5k course, with powder available to buy on the day.

For those who have booked their place, sign in starts at 9.30am at Machynlleth FC clubhouse. Runners must be signed in by 10.30am, in time for a 10.50am warmup behind the football field.

Later in the summer, a 5-A-Side football tournament is being held on July 21. On the same day, a Quiz Night is being held at the White Lion Hotel at 7pm
