Montgomery Castle will host a production of the famous Romeo and Juliet play this July.
This fast-paced production of Shakespeare's story of two star-crossed lovers will be staged by Illyria on July 9.
Illyria, known for their polished performances, are bringing the play's intense love story and hilarious moments to life.
The audience will follow Romeo and Juliet's secret meetings, family feud, and doomed love from the comfort of their own seats or rugs as the play unfolds in the great outdoors.
The event, to kick off at 7pm, and is part of the Arts Council of Wales’ "Night Out" scheme.
Illyria’s adaptation of the play uses only the First Folio text, the most authoritative edition of Shakespeare’s plays.

The performance is approximately two hours 20 minutes long, including a 20 minuet interval, and it is suitable for all ages.
The performance area is wheelchair-accessible and visitors are requested to bring foldable chairs, suitable clothing, and a picnic.

Assistance dogs are welcome, however, due to the castle's location, parking is limited and attendees are advised to park in Montgomery and walk to the venue.
Doors open at 6pm ready for the 7pm start.
