A Newtown man has appeared at the crown court accused of perverting the course of justice by trying to get an alleged victim to withdraw her complaint against his wife.
Bradley Davies, 39, is charged with attempting to get Paige Barr to withdraw her complaint into his late partner Danniella Davies.
The defendant, of Cledan, Treowen, gave a "firm not guilty plea" to the charge when he appeared at Mold Crown Court via video link on Thursday, June 13.
He is due to stand trial on November 9 at the crown court.
Her Honour Judge Nicola Saffman told Davies that "you've been through a terrible tragedy" following the death of his wife in April this year aged 28.
The judge adjourned the hearing to Monday, June 17.
