Fire crews were called to a garden fire in Powys that was so large it nearly damaged the nearby overhead electrical cables.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called out Knighton this weekend to a garden fire that had also caught two sheds that contained petrol.
Two crews from Knighton and Presteigne fire station were assisted by colleagues from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service at the fire in the Rock View Estate on Sunday afternoon (June 9).

The blaze was so intense that it required a team from Western Power to come and check whether the overhead electrical cables had been damaged.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 2:51pm on Sunday, June 9, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Knighton and Presteigne Fire Stations were called to an incident at Rock View Estate, Knighton.
“Crews responded to a fire in the garden of a domestic property. The fire was confined to the garden and two sheds that both contained petrol. Crews utilised one breathing apparatus and two 45 jets to extinguish the fire and dampen down.
“Power lines overhead were affected by heat Western Power were also in attendance to check overhead cables.
“The crew left the scene at 04:21pm.”
