Machynlleth Cubs and Scouts have issued an urgent appeal for volunteers, or they may have to close.
The pack, which has been a mainstay for the community for over a decade, could be facing closure due to a chronic shortage of leaders to facilitate its activities.
Throughout 11 years of operation, Machynlleth Cubs has grown to become one of the largest and most active Cub packs in the area, leading hundreds of children on hikes, camps, and adventures.
However, without sufficient volunteers to share the load, the three current leaders express being exhausted, and are struggling to balance Scout roles with their work and family lives.

A statement on social media from the group said: "We are immensely proud of the work we have done and the young people in the group – past and present.
"But we are chronically understaffed and if we do not recruit more leaders soon the pack will close."
The plea for volunteers comes as the entire Machynlleth Scout Group, including the Cubs, Beavers, Scouts, and Explorers, faces a crisis.
At present, they only have nine leaders spread across all sections, many doubling up on roles.
When September comes, the Scouts will dwindle to just one leader, making closure "inevitable" unless more volunteers step up.

"All Cubs activities are run by volunteers, and when there are lots of people sharing the load it’s an enormously rewarding position," the group added.
The group is looking for individuals ready to commit regularly, plan sessions, and help with the administration and background tasks.
The group assures that all necessary checks, training, and mentoring will be provided for new volunteers.
Cubs meet in Machynlleth on Wednesday evenings from 6.15–8.00pm, and Scouts meet on Wednesday evenings from 6.30–8.30pm.
