I think we can all understand the reasons behind the 20mph speed limit, even though we don’t agree with it.

But why don’t the council help by giving us a little in return?

There are many roads in housing estates, built-up area, schools, pedestrian crossings, hospitals etc, which do have the 20mph limit.

But they also have speed ramps, which damage cars.

OTHER NEWS:

My reasoning is this: If you have to keep the 20mph, then remove the speed bumps so we can at least have a smooth 20mph.

I also think we’d all agree that both are needed where there’s a school

But they are present after schools have closed.

Going through housing estates etc at 20mph, okay but take the speed bumps off.

It’s difficult to do more than 20mph in some places due to the condition of the road.

Sometimes all it takes is a bit of common sense and a little give and take.

So twenty is plenty – but without the speed ramps.
