A driver is in custody after a crash in Presteigne led to a woman being airlifted to hospital.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that they have arrested a man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a crash led to a female passenger being airlifted to hospital.
The crash which took place in the early hours of this morning (May 31) saw the B4362 near Presteigne being closed by Dyfed-Powys Police so that emergency services could treat the woman at the scene.
According to the Police she was airlifted away from the scene to be treated at hospital after sustaining “serious injuries”.

Another female passenger was taken to hospital after sustaining “minor injuries”.
The driver of the car was also taken to hospital to hospital “as a precaution” after he picked up minor injuries before being arrested by Police.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended the scene of a one vehicle collision on the B4362 near Presteigne shortly after 1:30am this morning. The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and re-opened just before 5:15am.
“One female passenger was airlifted to the Heath Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. The male driver and other female passenger sustained minor injuries and were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
“The male driver of the vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is in custody at this time.”
