A temporary road closure will be in place near Machynlleth, as a stretch of road will be closed for a day on behalf of Hafren Dyfrdwy.
On June 5, a traffic order will be in place prohibiting any vehicles from driving along a length of the B4404 between Machynlleth and Llanwrin.
The closure has been put in place by Powys County Council on behalf of Hafren Dyfrdwy, while works are carried out on a sluice valve.

Sluice valves are installed to control the flow of water through a straight pipe and as a shut off valve to isolate the supply.
Resident access will be maintained via a set of diversions in the area, while access to the road will also be maintained for emergency services. The alternative route will be signposted.
The closure is expected to last for just one day, between 8am and 4pm, after which time the works should be completed and the road fully re-open once again.
More information on the closure can be found from Hafren Dyfrdwy.
