A man is to stand trial after pleading not guilty to raping a woman in a Powys village almost three years ago.

Daniel Iorwerth Rowlands, 28, denied the serious sexual assault charge when he appeared before a judge at Mold Crown Court on Friday, May 31.

He pleaded not guilty to raping a woman in Meifod, near Welshpool between July 30 and August 2 2021.

Rowlands, of Glanclegyr, Llanbrynmair, is to stand trial on September 16 at Mold Crown Court.
