The organisers of Machynlleth Pride are hoping to bring the event back to the Powys town next year, “bigger and even better”.

Following a successful event that saw hundreds of people gather at Y Plas to celebrate Machynlleth’s first ever LGBT Pride event, organisers of the event are already planning next year’s celebration.

In preparation for the 2025 Machynlleth Pride, organisers are looking to expand their working group and hear feedback on how the event could be improved for next time.

Anyone interested is invited to their Post Pride Social as a chance to meet the team and possibly volunteer for the next event.

A spokesperson for Machynlleth Pride wrote on social media: “Attended by hundreds, from far and wide, with sell out shows and an absolutely packed Plas lawn, this event went better than we could've imagined in our wildest dream.

“We were completely blown away by the incredible love, support and solidarity in such abundance. We had such beautiful conversations with attendees who were just filled with joy at this event happening at last.

“As a tiny team we worked so hard to get this event together and words can't express how amazing it was to see it come off so well. We owe it to the incredible volunteer helpers, our sponsors, and all of you who came out on the day for that.

“Next year we are coming back bigger and even better - we've got some much lush fabulousness in the planning for you but we need your help.

“We'd love to create a bigger working group to make this event sustainable, and we want to hear from you about what would make Mach Pride even better next time.

“We're inviting you to a Post Pride Social with nibbles and chat to meet the team, let us know what you think, and see if you'd like to join us for next year.”

The social will be held at the Old Pizzeria on June 10 at 7pm
