A Powys care home is being sold for the first time in nearly four decades as its current owners have retired.

Glanenig Care Home in Talgarth, Powys, has been purchased by first-time buyers after being under the ownership of its founders for over thirty years.

The residential home has 33 registered residents in its care, having been established in 1986 by, Keith and Marjorie Bowen, who were later joined by their son Ian, who helped run the business.

After 38 years of running the business, the husband-and-wife team decided to sell the home and retire. They were able to sell the business for an undisclosed price after a confidential sales process with property advisor Christie & Co.
