A PUB darts competition has raised more than £500 for a Powys charity.
The ladies’ darts teams at the Severn Arms in Penybont organised a mixed pairs competition and money raised from it was donated to Dementia Matters in Powys.
A cheque for £530 was received by Deborah Gerrard, from the charity, with donations also received from Colin Jones, of SP Fillers in Llandrindod, and also the Severn Arms. Thanks to everyone who supported.
Dementia Matters in Powys has been around since 2017 and is committed to giving a voice to those living with dementia in the county.
The charity’s focus over the last seven years has been the development and running of accessible and inclusive meeting centres, which provide a safe environment where people living with dementia and their family members can nurture friendships, receive support and be included.
There are 47 dementia meeting centres across the UK – four of these are active in Powys, including in Llandrindod Wells, Newtown, Welshpool and Brecon.
