A MALE motorist was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision over the bank holiday weekend in which his vehicle left the road.

Dyfed Powys Police said the incident involved one vehicle, a grey Audi A5, and occurred on the A470 between Builth Wells and Newbridge-on-Wye, on Sunday, May 26.

“Police attended a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the A470 travelling from Newbridge towards Builth Well as at about 11.40am on Sunday,” said the force.

“A grey Audi A5 left the road and went down a bank. The male driver was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

“The road was closed and reopened at about 12.50pm.”
