Montgomery Fire Station is opening its doors next month, in a bid to promote the service.
They are hosting an open day on June 2 from 2pm to 6pm, offering an opportunity to learn what it takes to become an On-call firefighter.
Organised by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, responsible for almost two-thirds of Wales.
With 75 per cent of local stations manned by on-call firefighters, recruitment is paramount.
Attendees can expect to try on a firefighter's kit, discover various equipment types, and engage in informative discussions.
The day will encompass an overview of a modern firefighter's role, an explanation of the skills they maintain, important recruitment details, and the importance of fitness in the job.
Fun children's activities are also included, making the day a mix of learning and fun.
