STEPHEN Sims has replaced Professor Geoffrey Lloyd as the new chairman of Llandrindod Wells Probus Club.
Stephen, a retired Metropolitan Police officer, was welcomed into office officially at the recently held Annual General Meeting.
The new president is retired Llandrindod GP Dr Sim Ovis, who is the longest-serving member of the club.
Outgoing president Derek Law, a former educational advisor to Powys County Council, said how much he had enjoyed the challenges over the past three years, adding it had been an enjoyable period and that he wished the new president every success in taking office.
The new vice chair is Ron Bellingham.
