Nadia Ionescu-Blower (30) was one of the proud Powys London Marathon runners and completed the course in just over five hours.
Originally from Montgomery and daughter of Town Crier Susan Blower, Nadia, now a London resident, raised a total of £3,242 for NSPCC.
Through local fundraising efforts and substantial support of the local people of Montgomery, over £1,000 was raised in a coffee morning in the Town Hall back in March.

A worthy cause contributing to the prevention of cruelty to children, the money goes directly to the charity towards the fantastic work they do with Childline and beyond.
Although the race was more difficult and gruelling than expected after a period of flu running up to the event, Nadia is so grateful for the immense support and sends a huge thanks for all the valuable donations.
She is pleased and proud now it’s over, and is spending the week nursing her muscles back to good health.
