The Newtown bypass was part closed on Saturday over "concern for the welfare of an individual", police have confirmed.
Dyfed-Powys Police officers closed off the section between the Kerry Road and Dolfor Road roundabouts at around 1.45pm on April 27.
Witnesses told the County Times that police officers were seen on the Upper Dolfor Road bridge while a marked van was parked underneath.
