An award-winning Llanidloes retailer says it is an “absolute honour” to be named an ambassador to represent “women in convenience”.
Trudy Davies has been in retail for more than 40 years and has always championed all things local, small businesses and gender equality with her passion and hard working efforts in both her community and the retail sector.

“I will endeavour to mentor, support and show all women in retail that our contribution is a valuable asset to any business in our sector,” Trudy said.
The six Women in Convenience ambassadors were chosen for their knowledge, influence and connections to promote vital work in supporting independent retailers, giving them access to the tools and information they need to improve.
Trudy, who runs Woosnam and Davies News, is the only ambassador representing a Welsh retailer.
