A new report has ranked postcodes in Powys based on their average house price, revealing the cheapest and most expensive places to live in the county.
With constant inflation rises, the opportunity for first time buyers to get a mortgage offer that is affordable and reasonable is extremely difficult.
This is leaving people either not moving out at all or paying to rent a place instead.
Responding to this ongoing change, Cardinal Steels and Online Marketing Surgery have created their House Price Report, which helped us rank areas in Powys based on their average house price.
Rhayader and the LD6 postcode is the cheapest area in Powys to buy a property with an average price of £210,093 while the highest house prices are in Crickhowell and the NP8 postcode, with an average price of £404,599.
Meanwhile southern Powys dominated the cheapest list with only Newtown from the northern part of the county making the top five most affordable.
Crickhowell was the most expensive area by some stretch with Llanbrynmair and Caersws the most expensive areas in Montgomeryshire.
