An award-winning historic hotel will be hosting the grand opening of its brand new garden room today.
The popular Castle Hotel in Bishop’s Castle will welcome local dignitaries and contractors for the ribbon cutting ceremony which will be officially opened by the town Mayor Josh Dicken.
The recently completed garden room is part of a project that has involved extensive works to improve and widen the stairs and access to the award-winning hilltop gardens.
The new addition is described as a spacious and welcoming place for guests to relax and enjoy drinks inside the 305-year-old hotel.

A spokesperson said: “We’re very excited to hear The Queen Consort is visiting Shrewsbury this Wednesday, but we’re even more excited to invite you all to our grand opening of our Garden room this Bank Holiday Friday!
“Come along from 5pm and enjoy our official opening ceremony complete with ribbon cutting and local dignitaries - unfortunately the Queen can’t make it. But the afternoon will be fit for royalty.”
