A man has died after being airlifted to hospital following an incident that closed the A40 Brecon, Dyfed Powys Police have confirmed.
Police said that on Wednesday, March 27, a man passed away after being airlifted to hospital.
Dyfed Powys Police first received a call concerned for the safety of man near Brecon canal at approximately 2.50pm.
The A40 Brecon bypass was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and officers conducted initial enquiries.

An Air Ambulance landed at the scene and transported the man to hospital where he sadly passed away.
Police have confirmed that his next of kin have been advised and HM Coroner has been informed.
The road was re-opened at 5.30pm, with Dyfed Powys Police adding: “Thank you to all motorists who were affected by the road closure for their patience.”
