A MAN has been arrested and is being held on remand after being charged with false imprisonment, causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in Powys.
Daniel Finucane, 37, was arrested after police were called to reports of an assault in Builth Wells on Tuesday, March 19.
Witnesses reported seeing police and ambulance crews at around 1pm in the Cwrt-y-Castell area.
“Dyfed-Powys Police were called to a report of an assault at Cwrt-y-Castell, Builth Wells, at just after 1pm on March 19,” said a spokesperson for the force.
“Entry was gained and a man was arrested at the scene. Daniel Finucane, aged 37, has been charged with false imprisonment, Section 18 GBH and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
“He has been remanded in custody.
“Officers are asking anyone with information or video footage of the incident to get in touch.”
