A MAN has denied assaulting two police officers in Newtown and will now face a trial.
Martyn Hamer, 47, entered not guilty pleas to assaulting Dyfed Powys Police officers Dave Jones and Thomas Woosnam in Newtown on October 3 last year, when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 5.
Hamer, of Swallow Drive, Newtown, will face trial on both matters.
The trial is scheduled to take place in Welshpool on May 13.
