Creative masterpieces created by Llanidloes primary school pupils have gone on display at an art exhibition in the town centre.

Children who attend Ysgol Gynradd Llanidloes have been showing off their creative flair with a series of colourful artwork inspired by Rhayader artist Amanda Skipsey which is now on display at the Wild Oak Café .

Llanidloes-based artist Osian Gwent said he is “thrilled” to unveil the latest exhibition at café showcasing the “incredible” talent of students from the local primary school.

“Inspired by the captivating creations of local artist, Amanda Skipsey, these young minds have poured their hearts into each masterpiece,” he said.

“As a passionate advocate to help promote local artists, I've had the privilege to volunteer as the curator for several exhibitions, organising and providing a platform for our local talents to shine. This particular showcase is one I've been eagerly anticipating. I love the energy and joy these paintings convey.
