Nobody has been reported injured following a roof fire that affected at least one house in Newtown.
Fire crews from several towns across Mid Wales were called at about 7.55pm on Sunday evening (February 25) to a fire affecting a two-storey terraced house in Lon Gwern, Trehafren.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) has not said what caused the fire.
A neighbour said the fire was believed to have started in a bathroom which then spread to the ceiling and roof and along to the next door property.

The roof fire prompted a large emergency response on Sunday evening as crews from Newtown, Montgomery, Llanidloes, Aberystwyth, Llandrindod Wells and Llanfair Caereinion raced to the scene before leaving more than three hours later at around 11.12pm.
A spokesperson for MAWWFRS said: "Crews responded to a fire within a two-storey terraced property following reports of smoke issuing from the property’s roof space.
"Crews utilised eight breathing apparatus sets, two hose reel jets, ladders and small tools to extinguish the fire and gain access to the roof space.
"After extinguishing the fire, crews proceeded to check for any remaining hot spots.
"No casualties were reported."
