A POWYS father has elected to have his case tried in the crown court after he denied six charges of breaching two different harassment orders.

Jonathan Horniblow, from Llanidloes, pleaded not guilty to all six charges put to him at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court this week.

The charges against the 52-year-old relate to offences allegedly committed on three different dates between September and December 2022.

Horniblow, of Llanidloes, denies three charges of breaching a restraining order on September 9, October 14 and December 23, 2022, imposed by Caernarfon Crown Court in March of 2022.

The other three charges also relate to those three dates and accuse Horniblow of breaching a similar order.

Magistrates sitting in Welshpool on Tuesday, February 20, said they were happy to hear the case, but Horniblow elected to have his trial heard in the crown court.

They adjourned the matter, with Horniblow set to make an initial appearance at Mold Crown Court on March 22.
