A POWYS man accused of drink driving has had a warrant for his arrest issued after he failed to show up for court.
Oliver Corbett, 37, had been due to appear at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 20, but failed to attend.
Corbett, of Oak Tree Cottage, Llanymynech, is charged with drink driving on the B4393 at Llandrinio in north Powys on January 19 this year.
He is said to have been driving a Mitsubishi vehicle at the time and failed a roadside breath test. He allegedly provided a reading of 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Magistrates heard on Tuesday that was no explanation as to his non-attendance and they granted an arrest warrant, not backed for bail.
