MULTIPLE emergency service crews were called to an incident in Newtown over the weekend, with police, fire and ambulance crews all attending.
Witnesses reported seeing a flurry of activity in the Lon Derw area of Newtown, around the Pen-y-Parc flats, at around 10am on Sunday, February 4.
“At 9.57am on Sunday, February 4, the Newtown crew was called to an incident on Lon Derw, Newtown,” a spokesperson for the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said.
“The crew was called to assist with gaining access to a property following concerns of an individual inside.
“The police personnel at the scene gained access to the property and no action was required by crew members. The crew left the scene at 10.19am.”
A Dyfed Powys Police spokesperson said: "Police received a number of calls to a property in Pen y Parc flats, Trehafren at just after 9am on February 4.
"One man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and has been given a conditional caution. Another man was checked over by the ambulance service as a precaution."
Witnesses reported at least three Dyfed Powys Police vehicles on the scene, in addition to two ambulances and a fire engine.
