A newly formed youth club has received £2,000 from Llanidloes Town Council to help buy much needed equipment and secure the future of the club for the next 12 months.
During the first four weeks of being open, Llanidloes Youth Centre welcomed more than 75 children and young people through its doors every Thursday evening at the town’s rugby club.
Since the much-needed youth centre was re-started by local parents in October, organisations have been raising thousands of pounds to support the work being carried out to help the town’s teenagers.
The club offers young people aged between 11 and 18 who live in Llanidloes or surrounding area with a space to enjoy music, games, snacks and drinks and making friends every Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at The Rugby Club, Smithfield Street.
