A VILLAGE icon who has acted in multiple roles in her community has deservedly been recognised with a distinguished award.
Powys High Sheriff Reg Cawthorne has presented Sue Davies with a High Sheriff Award in recognition of her valuable, voluntary service within the Hundred House community.
For many years Sue has been secretary of Hundred House Hall and was instrumental when the hall was renovated.
She still oversees the general running of the building which is used by many local organisations. She also takes responsibility for regularly checking the defibrillator.

Sue is called upon as a volunteer for many local fundraising events; particularly significant being that she organises the catering at Hundred House Show and arranges members from the seven local churches to assist which then helps their church finances.
She is a past president of Hundred House Show and Edw Valley YFC and is always willing to train members.
She has been a church warden and is treasurer of her local church and is well known for arranging Santa’s Grotto at Christmas.
