One person has been arrested after a 13 year old girl was assaulted over the weekend.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that they have made an arrest in relation to an assault of a 13-year-old girl that took place on Saturday (January 20) in Brecon. The person is understood to be a young teenager.
The assault took place on Captains Walk in Brecon, not too far from the library. The incident caused outrage in the town over the weekend after footage appeared online.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that the assault was so severe that it led to the girl needing to be taken to hospital to receive medical attention.

The force have confirmed that they have made an arrest in relation to the incident and that the suspect remained in custody as of Monday afternoon (January 22).
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: "Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of an assault at just after 6pm on Saturday, January 20.
"The assault was reported to have happened at around 3pm on Captain’s Walk, Brecon.
"The victim was taken to hospital prior to police attendance.
"One person has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody."
