A POWYS man accused of dangerous driving during a popular agricultural event will face trial next month.
David Earnest East, 69, pleaded not guilty to a single charge of dangerous driving when he appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court in September last year.
East is alleged to have committed the offence on November 30, 2021, at the Royal Welsh Showground, in Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, when the Winter Fair was being held at the venue.

East was driving a Ford Transit van at the time, at the showground’s Gate E.
East, of Heoldraw Farm, Tretower, near Crickhowell, elected a crown court trial.
East’s trial is due to begin at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on February 13, with an estimated duration of 2-3 days.
