MEMBERS of Builth Wells Rotary Club raised some smiles and a superb amount of nearly £2,500 by taking part in ‘Movember’ this year.
Movember is an annual event, created in 2003, involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide.
Builth Rotary Club chose to help support Prostate Cancer UK during November and held a moustache growing competition among members.

Some of the more hirsute members willingly shaved their existing moustaches in order to grow a new moustache throughout Movember.
Despite much protestation and loss of privileges from their partners, the enterprise was a resounding success, with members managing to raise almost £2,500. This will help to raise awareness for men’s health organised by Prostate Cancer UK.
